Tupaia is a health data aggregation, analysis and visualisation platform for low-resource settings. Pulling data from multiple, existing sources and presenting it in customised ways to specific user groups, Tupaia helps governments see just how healthy their healthcare system is.
Tupaia is a health data aggregation, analysis and visualisation platform that syncs information in real-time from multiple sources including DHIS2, mSupply and our own data collection app, MediTrak. Data is presented in customised views to specific user groups. We use Tupaia to strengthen health services and help governments target limited resources to where they can help the most. Funded by partners including DFAT, UNFPA, Gates Foundation and UNICEF, Tupaia is a mapping-led, real-time data visualisation tool that gives a bird’s eye view to decision makers, health workers and donors on medicines, equipment, infrastructure, disease surveillance, disaster response, staff and services.
We collaborate with partner governments and organisations to plan and deliver meaningful projects, with a team of staff dedicated to development outcomes. We have a full-time team of software developers, GIS specialists, finance experts, project managers and health professionals taking data projects from start to finish.
Think of a tropical Pacific Island. What springs to mind? Sunsets over endless horizons? Coconut palms and tropical fruit? Dolphins leaping from crystal clear waters? Oh and cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes, volcanoes, landslides, flash floods … and more cyclones. Tupaia is helping.
Tupaia is looking to expand to more countries in the Asia Pacific region and around the world. Tupaia is a free service that syncs with existing data sources. Our project uses a free to use and download app that can easily be tailored to fit individual country or organizational needs.
Procuring pharmaceuticals and medical consumables is a specialist task that requires specialist skills and specific documents. It is not the same as buying cars and air conditioners! At Tupaia, we believe the best process for procurement should be available to everyone. All our procurement resources (contract templates, prequalification docs, goods receipt inspection forms etc) are here for download!
We got a ‘gift’ at work this month; a donation of reference books from an international medical company that operates here. They include such useful tomes as ‘Cardiovascular Survey Methods, 1968’ and ‘Intensive & Critical Care Digest, 1983’… (project lead Michael Nunan tackles the thorny area of drug donations)
